This company is a scam network. Do not send them the $20 that they request. You won't get any money.

Received an award letter saying I have won $3,900,000.00. That I need to send then $20 for appointment fee made payable to ABM in the form of cash, check or money order.

Checked on line about if this is a true company and low and behold, it's a scam company. Many complaints.

I'm sending this paperwork to the US Secret Service and they can deal with it as they did for another scam that I fell for that cost me $3,000.00.

Check the internet for info for company before answering any letters that say you won any thing. It could be a very big Scam.

Does the old bromide, "If it's too good to be true, it probably IS too good to be true," familiar with anyone who falls for these stupid letters? And send us $20, and you'll get about $4 million?

Just how gullible and stupid can a person be? Apparently there are enough of them to make this a profitable enterprise.

Guest

Just when I thought, 'No one can really be that ***, can they?' I don't know why you even bothered to post this. It only serves to reveal you are a ding *** Maybe you're a troll and in that case, this is a pretty boring page of comments for your amusement so far. Better luck trolling next time.

Greenley Amt

Instead of simply discarding the letter, you had to investigate it because you thought it might be true? Previously scammed out of $3K? Your family should not allow you to be in control of anything more than a $5 bill.

Since I work for the Post Office, I will be turning this letter over to the Postal Inspectors. They'll probably direct me to their online Mail Fraud complaint section I'll fill that out, but I also will give the letter to the Post Master General where I work.

I encourage everyone who as received this letter to do the same.

Online complaint filing: http://ehome.uspis.gov/fcsexternal/default.aspx

and, of course, take the letter to your post office and let them file a complaint on your behalf.

That is a scam. My husband needs a liver transplant.

That is evil people who would this.

God will catch up to u. I am faxing that to the FBI.

Guest

Why would anyone send out a huge pack of lies. So many people are struggling> There aren't any jobs money is seriously tight.

How could they do this when everyone knows that this is a scam.

To send out this tyoe of letter is very hurtful.

Please do not fall for this scam. No one will give you 2,997,500 dollars. Just think how many people has received this type of leeter there is no way they can afford to pay out this amount of money.

Yet if they collect 20 dollars from all of us they are just making their pocke fat.

They should be turn over t the sec. Call your local govement and file a compliant

Why on this good Earth are these corrupt people allowed to keep doing this? Why is the government not involved in prosecuting these jerks?

People, anytime somebody ask you to send money for a prize you've won, It's a scam I don't care how big the prize is or how small the amount you have to send in to receive it,,, It's still a scam.

Personally,, I'd like to beat the *** ou :sigh :x :( :( t of these crooks. :upset :roll

GUARANTEED CASH PRIZE WINNER

I receive letters saying that I am a guaranteed cash prize winner (not eligible to win or the opportunity to win but an actual cash prize winner), send processing fee and check will be mailed but no amount specified. Yes, I did this a few times, minimal money, curious for the most part because it could actually be like a lottery (international I'm guessing being from New York.

It made sense to me that it could be. Well, I never received my cash prize winnings either. I'm still receiving letters and have asked to be removed from their mailing list. Money is being made so the companies will never be shut down but I do wish I had read the reviews first before sending the fees that I did.

Letters that have been mailed to me: PMB 410 Fresh Meadows; PMB 540 Kew Gardens and today a new one, PMB 103, all from New York, ABM (they are growing).

PMD 410 1**-** Union turnpike , fresh meadows, NY 11366 promising $3.9 million! Addleshaw, Bird & Mitchell with an authorized signature (stamped) of Ryan Wheeler.

the letter says i won, but the "check" says "Pay to the Order of: (if selected winner)"... wants me to send them $20 processing fee... WOW! I DON'T THINK SO!

So glad I googled it!

thanks to all the warnings! :)

Guest

If you are notified that you have won something, but must send in money in order to claim it, it is a scam. You are receiving these mailers because you are on a list as being a "sucker".

Guest

I also am a target of these scammers. I received the same one and have fallen for a few but more keep coming from out of the woodwork.

My mailbox is full each week of these and many others.

Of the ones I have submitted. I have never won a thing, or collected on any of the promised money.

Hello folks, It appears the vultures have once again struck the heart and soul of those less fortunate who desperately need a light at the end of the tunnel.. First my I say, I am truly sorry for your circumstances, pain and suffering..

Sincerely..! However, remember this.. If you did not enter a sweepstakes, contest, or any kind of agreement to be paid a sum of money by chance, should you be the lucky winner, tell me how in the world could you expect to win a prize out of thin air, and to top it off they are asking you for $20.00 bucks, so you can receive the prize.. That is always a fraud..!!!

If you have won a prize, then you should receive the prize free of any charges, otherwise the perpetrators are milking the needs of others with fraudulent lies in order to collect a $20.00 fee.. Now imagine, they mail out 200,000 of those congratulation letters to folks, and 10% respond, which is 20,000 folks who pay them $20.00..

They have just collected $400,000 dollars fraudulently from folks who so desperately needed a ray of sunshine in their life, they swallowed the scam hook line and sinker...and were each robbed of $20.00 they really didn't have to loose..

I Won't Be Scammed

Notice received 9/19/2014 that my deceased husband won $3,900,000.00. It seems as though Addleshaw, Bird & Mitchell fixate on the same amount throughout their scams. Thanks everyone for your reviews, which reinforced the fact this was a scam.

Targeting seniors or anyone is such a shame. These people should be stopped.

To target our Vets, who have fought for our country is also a complete shame. It's too bad.

As I read a lot of the reviews Addleshaw, Bird & Mitchell do not have a phone number and use a P.O. Box. Keep these reviews coming, folks, so others will not be scammed.

Speaking of Addleshaw, Bird, & Mitchell - When I get these type of obvious scam nonsense from these type *** - I return them with a message - "Please just take your fee of $20 from my $3,900,000 check & go ahead & keep an extra $250." Surely, hopefully, no one sends them actual money.

Received the same letter as many others stating I had won $3,900,000.00.

I noticed the due date for a $20.00 payment was September 2, 2014. I received the letter on September 16, 14 days after the due date.

Since that seemed a bit funny and them asking for money I thought "I'm going to look for a phone number on line and call them." Didn't find a phone number but found this site showing the many complaints. Thank you for having this site and for all who post their complaints.

I now know this is a scam and will be trashing the notice they sent. I can not thank you all enough!!!!!!

Obviously it is a scam and you can throw it away. The interesting thing is they sent my letter, or one of many for me, to Baltimore.

Sending a minor a letter stating he won money through a company.

My son received a letter in the mail stating he won 3,900,00.00 dollars. My son is 15yrs old.

Thank god I saw this letter before he was going to send 20.00 he saved. I told him it's a scam. You should not have to send money if you won. Words to other people that reads this.

Be wise to anyone that says you won.

Look them up on computer first to see if they are legit. Even if they seem legit they could bill you for anything if you never ordered anything then they will send it to a bill collector to get their 20.00 or more.

Targeting the elderly

This group continually targets my 87 year old father. He has sent them checks in the past, and as such, his mail box overflows with bogus sweepstakes entries.

No matter what I say, he believes that he is a "winner." I am appalled that companies like these target such vulnerable cohorts. I agree that something must be done about these companies. The number one thing to do is to NOT send them any money. The second thing to do is to write "REFUSED" on the envelope window (where your name is shown) and put this back in the mailbox.

The next thing to do is to work to have your name removed from all marketing lists. A good place to start is with the Direct Marketing Associates. You might also want to contact individual data brokers.

And when you purchase something at a brick and mortar store, never provide your zip code and/or email address. Companies use that to track your habits.
